Getting found in Slot'd search
Clients who don’t already know you can find you at slotd.app/find — they search for what they need near where they are, and book straight from the results. It’s included on every plan, including Free.
You need a city
Settings → Profile → City. This is the one thing that decides whether you appear at all.
Without a city, Slot’d has no idea where to place you, so you are not listed — even if everything else about your account is perfect and the “discoverable” toggle is on. There is no partial state: no city, no listing.
If you set up your account before August 2026, it’s worth checking now. Onboarding didn’t ask for this at the time, and most accounts from that period have it blank.
Your exact address is never shown
Slot’d stores a precise location so distance searches work, and publishes only a coarse area. Clients see roughly where you are and how far away you are — never your street address, unless you deliberately put one on your booking page.
That applies to people working from home too. Being findable does not mean publishing where you live.
Turning it off
Settings → Profile → Discoverable. Off means you keep your booking page and your link, and simply don’t appear in search. Some providers only want clients they’ve already met — that’s a normal way to use Slot’d.
What decides your position
Results are ordered by how active you are, then by distance. Not by how much you pay.

Being on a paid plan adds one level — it’s a nudge, not a takeover. An active Free provider still outranks a dormant paid one, on purpose: a directory full of people who never answer is worthless to the clients using it.
Reaching the top level needs a real booking, not just published Slots. Otherwise top placement could be bought by scheduling empty openings on a loop.
Practical ways to move up
- Keep open Slots published. This is the single biggest factor — it’s the difference between level 1 and level 2, and it’s what “bookable now” means.
- Add photos of your work. See Photo gallery. Your first photo is what shows on your search card.
- Fill in your business name and what you do, so your card reads like a business rather than a blank.
- Get your first booking through. It’s the step from level 2 to level 3.
If you’re not showing up
Work down this list:
- Is your city set? Settings → Profile. This is the usual answer.
- Is “discoverable” on? Same page.
- Is your booking page published? An unpublished page isn’t listed.
- Do you have open Slots? With nothing bookable you rank below everyone who does.
- Are you searching far enough out? Try a wider radius — results are distance-ordered within each activity level.
