Sharing Slots
Slots are built to be shared. Every Slot has its own URL and a branded link-preview card, so posting it anywhere turns one opening into a claimable product.
Green = the main path · copper = the waitlist path · filled green = start / done.

On the provider-branded Slot page.
Is the Slot still open?
- Claim a seat and enter details + intake answers.
- Pay the deposit or full amount — the seat is held ~15 min during checkout (Stripe).
- Payment succeeds → Confirmed. (Hold expires or fails → the seat reopens.)
- Join the waitlist with contact info.
- A seat frees up (a cancel or no-show) → waitlist gets alerted.
- First to claim wins → rejoins the Open path above.

Confirmed
Confirmation email + reminders sent; the appointment lands on your calendar.
The share bar
Open any Slot and use the Share controls:
- On mobile, the native share sheet leads — send to Messages, WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, or anywhere else in one tap.
- On desktop, you get the full row of targets plus Copy link, Email, and Text.
Branded link previews
When you paste a Slot link into iMessage, WhatsApp, Discord, Facebook, or X, it unfurls into a provider-branded preview card — your name, the service, and the price — with a slot-green call to action. Three states are generated automatically:
- Open — “first to claim wins.”
- Claimed — the Slot has been taken.
- Expired — the time has passed; the card is honest about it (no dead “book me” preview).
The “first to claim wins” mechanic
A shared Slot is public: anyone with the link can claim it, and the first to complete checkout gets it. That’s the point — it creates urgency and fills openings fast. For higher-capacity Slots, each seat is claimed independently until the Slot is full.
