Notifications & reminders

Slot’d sends the right message at the right time so you and your clients stay in the loop — automatically.

What gets sent

  • Booking confirmation when a client books.
  • Reminders ahead of the appointment (by default 24 hours and 2 hours before).
  • Cancellation and reschedule notices.
  • Payment receipts after a successful charge.

Email vs. SMS

  • Email reminders are live and on by default.
  • SMS reminders are live. Turn them on in Settings → Notifications. They send to clients who provide a mobile number and agree to receive texts (opt-in). You can also get text alerts to yourself — see below.

Your preferences

In Settings → Notifications you control:

  • Master toggles for email and SMS reminders.
  • Which events notify you (new booking, cancellation, payment received).
  • How many hours before an appointment reminders go out.

Each message respects both the channel’s master toggle and the specific event toggle, so you can tune exactly what sends.

Text alerts to you

Want a text when something happens? In Settings → Notifications → “Text me directly”, add your own notification number (separate from the business phone on your booking page), agree to the SMS terms, and pick what you want texted:

  • New booking — a text when a client books or claims a Slot.
  • Cancellation — a text when a client cancels.
  • Your reminders — a heads-up before your own upcoming appointments.

All off by default and fully opt-in.
