Ask Slot'd (help assistant)
Every page of your dashboard has an Ask button in the bottom-right corner. It opens a help assistant that answers questions about Slot’d — how to set something up, why an option is greyed out, what a setting does.
It’s available on every plan, free included.
What it knows
Two things, and nothing else:
- This help centre. The same pages you’re reading now. If something isn’t written here, the assistant will say so rather than guess.
- Your own account setup. Your plan, how many services and Slots you have, whether Stripe and your calendars are connected, whether your booking page is published, and how many bookings you’ve taken this month.
That second part is what makes it useful. Ask “why can’t I set up a repeat booking?” and it can tell you that repeat bookings need Solo and you’re on Free — rather than describing a button you don’t have.
It never sees your clients’ details. No names, no emails, no phone numbers, no appointment history. Only your own settings and counts.
What it can’t do
- It can’t do things for you. It explains where a button is; it doesn’t press it.
- It can’t answer what isn’t documented. It’ll point you to support instead.
- It can be wrong. It’s an AI assistant working from the docs, and the docs can be out of date. For anything about money, refunds, or your legal terms, trust the help centre page it links to — or ask support.
Each answer lists the pages it used, so you can check.
Privacy
Your questions and your account summary are sent to Google’s Gemini model running inside Slot’d’s own Google Cloud project — the same platform that already hosts Slot’d. They aren’t used to train anything. We keep a copy of the questions asked so we can see what this help centre explains badly and fix it. See the privacy policy.
If it says it isn’t switched on
That’s a setup message on our side, not something wrong with your account. Let us know at support.
