Getting started

Welcome to Slot’d. This guide gets you from sign-up to a live booking page.

    Email, Google, Facebook, or Apple. No card — a 14-day trial of every paid feature, then the Free plan.

    Name, timezone, and your city — the field that gets you listed in Slot'd search.

    Sets your starting services and intake questions.

    Edit durations and prices, switch days on or off, set a buffer.

    Review it all. Your booking page goes live at slotd.app/book/your-business-name.

    Connect Stripe

    Take deposits or full payment, paid out to your bank. Slot'd takes 0% on every plan — Free included. Free is capped at 8 bookings a month instead.

    One Slot, or fill a window. Group Slots (more than one client) need a paid plan.

    Post it anywhere. The first client to claim it books and pays.

1. Create your account

Go to app.slotd.app and sign up with email, Google, Facebook, or Apple. You’ll tick a box to accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy before your account is created.

No credit card required: your 14-day trial of every paid feature starts automatically (30 days if someone referred you), and when it ends you stay on the Free plan rather than being locked out. See Billing & plans.

2. Guided onboarding

Setup is five short steps. A progress bar at the top shows where you are, and Back takes you to the previous step without losing anything.

  1. Business Info — your first and last name, business name, phone (optional), city, street address (optional — only if clients come to you), and timezone (detected for you).
  2. Your Vertical — the kind of work you do (see below).
  3. Services — pre-filled for your vertical. Edit the names, durations, and prices, remove any you don’t want, or Add a service.
  4. Availability — switch each day on or off, set your working hours, and choose a Buffer between appointments. The hours are pre-filled for your vertical: coaching starts on after-school hours (weekdays 3:30–8:30pm, Saturday mornings), everything else Monday to Friday, 9 to 5.
  5. Preview — review everything, including your link at slotd.app/book/your-business-name, then press Finish setup.

Finishing setup publishes your booking page straight away, so your link works as soon as you’re done. You can change the link’s handle in Settings afterward.

Pick your vertical

Your vertical sets your starting services and the intake questions clients answer when they book:

  • Coaching & Lessons — baseball and softball, fitness, music, life or business coaching. Asks who’s being coached, their age group, skill level, experience, and goals. Its starting services (Private Lesson, 30-Min Lesson) are set up as Slots, so you post specific openings and share the link — change a service’s booking type any time in Services.
  • Tutoring & Test Prep — organized by student. Asks the student’s name, grade, subjects, school, and parent/guardian contact.
  • Personal Care — hair, lashes, nails, massage, pet grooming and more. Asks about the person or pet, preferences, and sensitivities.
  • Property & Outdoor — lawns, detailing, pressure washing, pools. Asks for the service address, access instructions, and site details.
  • General / Other — anything else. You’ll type in your trade.

Your services and intake questions can all be edited afterward. The vertical itself is chosen once, so pick the closest fit.

Don’t want to do it all now?

Choose Look around first at the top of setup and you’ll go straight to your dashboard. Your home page keeps a Finish setting up card with a Resume setup button whenever you’re ready. Until you finish, you have no services or hours and your page isn’t published, so nobody can book you yet.

3. Work through the setup checklist

Your dashboard home shows how far along you are and suggests one next step at a time rather than a wall of tasks:

  • Add a service, Set your hours, and Publish your booking page — nothing can be booked until these three are done
  • Get listed in Slot’d search — add your city
  • Connect payments so deposits actually hold a booking
  • Add photos of your work

The card disappears once everything’s done.
